We received the following form...

"We are from the UK and south of London, so near to Heathrow and Gatwick.

We want to travel for 15 nights including flights.

Approximate budget is £5000 for two of us.

Happy to drive for as long as needed if it's worth it.

We want to see and do a variety of things.  Table Mountain is a must and we'd like to see some wildlife."

 

Our outline plan (after some clarification emails) might be...

 

Day 1 - fly overnight Heathrow LHR to Cape Town CPT

Day 2 - Cape Town, V&A Waterfront

Day 3 - Cape Town, use the Hop on bus, Table Mountain, Bo Kaap, Castle of Good Hope

Day 4 - Cape Town, Robben Island, Chapman's Peak, Boulders Beach penguins, Kirstenbosch Gardens

Day 5 - drive via Hermanus to Cape Alguhas, southern most point of Africa

Day 6 - drive to Botlierskop Game Reserve

Day 7 - stay at Botlierskop (game drives, riding)

Day 8 - drive to Plettenberg Bay via Knysna 

Day 9 - Plettenberg Bay and area

Day 10 - drive to Oudtshoorn (caves and ostriches)

Day 11 - Oudtshoorn

Day 12 - drive to Franschhoek (longer drive, stop over optional)

Day 13 - Franschhoek (wine area)

Day 14 - Franschhoek

Day 15 - fly overnight Cape Town CPT to Heathrow LHR
