With such a diverse range of scenery and flora, South Africa lends itself to a range of the more sedate, from forest walks to mountain hikes.

There are lots of different routes on offer and these can be pulled together to be part of a broader tour - from the Cederberg to the Cape, the Garden Route to Addo and much more.

All through the country you will find some excellent walking - normally a car is needed to join up the parts but the walks are generally planned as five or six hour circulars. If you need more details on specific walking trips then just ask. In addition you will find various guided routes available - it might be that just one such route fits your plans. Here's a brief selection. Just click on the image below for more information.
