Stillbaai is a lovely small seaside town, about 30 minutes drive south of the N2.

The accommodation is in the end corner of a housing area but once you are there you wouldn't know it as it is almost surrounded by the Skulpiesbaai Nature Reserve.
The front is beautifully planted and the interior nice and cool. The rooms are on the large side, offering bed and breakfast as an option but also having decent self-catering options, including the all-important braai.
The hosts are very helpful and able to advise on all sorts of local amenities and the stay is very peaceful. It's hard not to be when there is a nature reserve outside the window. Breakfast is taken on the upper floor offering views of the corner of the reserve as well as having the bay in the distance. It makes the whole place a real oasis on the route from Cape Town into and along the Garden Route.

There's also a great gin maker (Inverroche) on the edge of town, so a good spot to drop into if you are staying at Charlotte House. We also enjoyed the Tuin-Op-Die-Brak gardens maintained by the community, and the whole feel of Still Baai.
